Coquimbo not only offers beaches and excellent cuisine, but also history, heritage and culture. In the Barrio Inglés (English Neighborhood) there are several historic buildings, including Amenábar House, current House of Arts, built in 1906.

Another beautiful place is the Virgilio palace, builded in 1902, which housed the London and South America Bank, being also the residence of the vice-consulate of Great Britain.

To this last one is added the Cultural Center Palace, built in 1892, hotel and former home of a Scottish family.

A little over a block from that point is the Social Club, built in 1924; witness of an important period of commercial and cultural splendor, with illustrious guests in its history. It was the meeting point of the British families that inhabited the sector.
