ABOUT US

We are the Municipal Corporation of Tourism Coquimbo, an institution of private, non-profit purposes according No. 18.695, Organic Law of Municipalities; directed by a board composed of seven members:
President of the Municipal Corporation of Tourism and the Directory:

• Mayor of Coquimbo, Mr. Marcelo Pereira Peralta.
• 3 members appointed by the City Council.
• 3 members appointed by the Ordinary General Assembly.
• A manager appointed by the Board.

From April 2017 to date, The Corporation is managed by Mrs. Antonieta Neira Barraza.

The management of the Corporation is defined by 3 strategic axes and lines of action from which flow various activities, projects and programs that provide the foundation for this organization.

DEVELOPMENT AXIS, DESTINATION AND PRODUCT

Its objective is to strengthen the image of the destination in the national and international priority markets, through promotional and marketing on and offline actions, as well as in the development of new products that combine the attributes, and tourist services and products of Coquimbo.

4° Service Tourist Information.
5° Tourist information supports (sustainable and inclusive).

7° Cruise Ship Recall.

BUSINESS STRENGTHENING AXIS

Its objective is to support the business fabric, especially the partners of the Municipal Corporation of Tourism of Coquimbo, through activities that allow the reduction of the digital divide, the strengthening of quality management, the application of good practices, the advice on technical matters, training, and the productive chain of the destination with the key actors of the national and international tourism system.

STRENGTHENING COMPETITIVENESS AXIS

Its objective is to generate instances that promote the link of the Municipal Corporation of Tourism of Coquimbo with public and private organizations at the communal, regional, national and international levels, with emphasis on the elaboration of joint action plans for the tourist development of the destination.
